Iceland's first and oldest bakery. A small family owned business founded on 25. September 1834. Not only is Bernhöftsbakarí the oldest bakery, but it is also Iceland's oldest company. Bernhöftsbakarí is the winner of the Cake of the Year 2011 contest in Iceland, the cake was made with Icelandic ingredients such as Skyr, butter and cream. Bernhöftsbakarí is proud to still produce traditional Icelandic baked goods in its small artisan bakery, where everything is made by hand.
