Jörgensen Kitchen & Bar is a new and exciting restaurant located at Center Hotel Miðgarður on Laugavegur 120 in one of the most up and coming area of the city center. At Jörgensen we offer what' we'd like to call casual dining with a local and international twist, meaning fresh Icelandic food that blends with fun international themes that vary throughout the year. At the moment, we offer fresh Icelandic food with a French and Japanese twist - almost too good to be true!
The reason for the international twist is because of Jóhann Ingi, our head chef at Jörgensen who specializes in mixing old versus new ways of cooking. His passion in the kitchen is to try new exotic ways in blending different types of cuisine with the traditional Icelandic way, and the outcome is truly delightful!
We love groups and Jörgensen offers a variety of menus for both smaller and larger groups. We do our utmost in making the evening for groups as cozy and memorable as possible. We also like to try new things, and one of them is our pop-up menu that includes recipes from our guests they have sent us and our chefs have put a bit Jörgensen theme to then before serving them during lunch.
Jörgensen starts it's day by offering a good variety of dishes on the lunch menu from 11:30 to 14:00 following with the Street food menu from 14 to 22 that includes smaller culinary creations from around the world. We like to say that sharing is caring at that truly goes with the Street food since it's perfect for sharing with friends. We begin to serve the Á la carte menu from 17:00 every day and the kitchen is open until 22 in the evening. Happy hour is every day at the Jörgensen Bar and offers a variety of beer and wine for a very reasonable price.
Jörgensen is open from 11:30 until midnight every day.
