Advancing through time guests can explore heathen graves, the birth of the “Althingi” the rich archaeological evidence of human habitat buried in the great eruption of mount Hekla in 1104 or enter a medieval church complete with most ecclesiastical treasures of Iceland. Guests can see restored heathen graves and ponder the birth of Althingi, the general assembly of the Commonwealth of Iceland, in 930.
