Vínberið is the sweetest store in town, where one can find sweets and chocolates from all over the world. As well as Iceland´s best-of, H.R. chocolatier, Rabarbía and Skyrkonfekt (made from the popular Icelandic product Skyr).
It is a little-known fact that Icelanders have a particularly sweet tooth. Vínberið (Icelandic for "grape"), located on Laugavegur, the main shopping street in Reykjavík, is a place where both locals and tourists go to get their sugar fix or buy some interesting souvenirs.
There is even an "Icelandic sweets" section for those visitors who want to taste some zany Icelandic creations (many of which involve liquorice, which is popular in Iceland). For those who want healthier sweets, Vínberið sells some fruit (that include fresh-picked Icelandic berries in the fall), along with the candy and chocolate it is known for.
